Hearthstone portal Hearth2P will host another edition of their cross-region invitational, this time putting Europe against China. Dates and format are still to be revealed.

The previous edition of the Hearth2P Invitational was held between the teams of China and North America. Online qualifiers were played to determine the top four for each region, who then went on to form the respective teams.

Once in the actual tournament, players fought one-on-one in Bo3 series. The winning player stayed while the losing had to be replaced by another team-mate. The process was repeated until all players from one team have been defeated.

Said first season was held in December and saw North America triumph with a narrow 4-3 but China will be given another chance against the western world.

The recently announced EU vs CN Masters will offer a $11,000 total prize pool but little is known other than that. The only other available information is that qualifiers will be played in swiss format (where players meet opponents with similar stats over several rounds) with a top 16 cut off. From there - and this is just a speculation on our part - the qualifiers are likely to enter a single elimination format which will then determine the regional representatives for the grand final, similar to how NA vs CN was handled.

GosuGamers have reached out to 2P officials to try and obtain additional information.
