The last Sunday cup of the NESL Preseason tournaments ended in a disappointing Grand Finals loss for RomaNorgy against Canadian modorra, but this time the American could avenge that loss and reign supreme. Now, can he also go for the throne on Tuesday?

Comeback and personal revenge are one of the greatest storylines in eSports and general sports. Personal vindication, defeat turned into triumph, writers, fans and the discipline itself thrives under those things. The National ESL has produced such a story this week, as NESL #13 runner-up RomaNorgy overcame the odds and walked to a NESL championship in the fifteenth edition of the prestigious event.

On his path to glory he did not only have to overcome the crushing defeat at the hands of modorra just a week ago, but good North American, South American and European talents from known teams like DKMR or team5. His journey started after a first round bye, facing Brazilian players in back-to-back rounds with lsnvcom and Veras in his way. Putting them to rest opened up the opportunity to play against DKMR's very own Brad, followed by the matchup with fellow countrymen hypez - who eliminated the top seed Luffy just one round earlier. RomaNorgy could overcome all those challenges, bringing him to the quarterfinals in which he had to face Finland's hottest Hearthstone export since Savjz, Wampie

A victory over the Nordic player paved the way to the Semis, eliminating Canadian ReD there, bringing him back to the promise land, back to the Grand Finals - this time against a wildcard. For the first time NESL saw a finalist from Peru making his way to the big dance, as Angello from the South American country put his nation on the Hearthstone map. Unfortunately that map won't have a golden star of a champion pinned next to it, since RomaNorgy completed his revenge tour and is now eligible to compete in the eigthth installment of the NESL King of the Hill tournament on Tuesday. His opponent in the play-in stage of that competition will be announced later today or tomorrow, while reigning king TidesOfTime is already waiting for a competitor to step up.

For the other beaten players from this Sunday, the next window of opportunity opens up on Wednesday, when NESL goes into Round 16 with yet another $500 USD on the line. All the stars like Kisstafer, Alchemixt, Portex, kaldi, zRusher, modorra, Ignite, Ostkaka or Twisted can refine their decks, plays and mindset till then, to be in the best state possible to win. Sign ups for Wednesday are still open and can be found here. The big cup on Sunday is open for business and signups here.
