A crowd favorite will go against an underdog-no-more in a few minutes. Within the next hour or so, $15,000 will be split between Amaz and Rdu.
DreamHack Summer on GosuWiki
The competition in Sweden is almost over. After three days of Hearthstone, the bracket is down to to players - Jason "Amaz" Chan and Radu "Rdu" Dima.
The Romanian is without a doubt one of the most exciting stories of the tournament. A top 4 finisher from DreamHack Bucharest, Rdu was extended an invite into the group stage where after a couple of tough games and two wins against Darkwonyx advanced him as second from Group B after Managrind's Realz.
Once in the playoffs, Rdu had to play one established name after another, always coming back from a one game deficit. In the round of eight, Rdu took down DogeHouse's Ek0p, shortly before he could add Reynad's head to his shelf of slain enemies. Undefeated on Rogue so far with a score of 7-0, the Romanian looks threatening and an underdog no more.
From the bottom half of the bracket emerged fan favorite Amaz. A fresh recruit into the Team Liquid house, Amaz was able to conquer Group D on day two and destroy Gnimsh and Realz in his first two playoff matches. Having learned his lesson from DreamHack Bucharest, Amaz did bring his signature Priest deck this time around and is at 3-1 against Druid, Handlock and Miracle.
The match will start at 21:30 CET.
