Picture courtesy of ESL   As Hearthstone has now reached Open Beta, many organizations and tournament hosts are expected to pounce on this fairly new market to develope a strong position right of the bat. OGN in Korea has already announced plans, in North America the ESL department is starting theirs - also including a King of the Hill spectacle.   The wait for the Open Beta to launch for the most recent Blizzard title Hearthstone was long, but for about a month now the wait is over. Bit after bit the most known organizations and tournament hosts are now testing the waters of this new game, bringing more excitement and a better eSports flair to the hyped card game. The ESL is going ahead with a tournament format that includes prizes of a combined worth of $12,000 USD in their NESL Beta Cup series.    The launch of this format was prepared for last Sunday with stars like RealZ, Savjz and Trump on the participant list. All those three guys didn't quite make the cut or reach high positions in the tournament - ironically all three got eliminated in the second round of the tournament. Ultimately the premier Cup of this series was won by the Canadian DominicG, who was able to defeat known European player kaldi in his Quarterfinal, the Brazilian murilobms in the Semis to clinch the championship against American player KingKewpa. With that success $250 USD  went into his pocket, KingKewpa had to settle for second and $150 USD.   Today now the second of what is expected to be 24 cups is kicking off at 8 PM EST without the names of Savjz or RealZ this time, but with apDrop, spOh, kaldi and former Dota 2 professional player twiSta. Reigning champion DominicG will also try to go for his second consecutive title, the runner up of the first cup, KingKewpa, is not signed up right now. Anyway you slice it, the cup will once again generate excitement and bring out top-notch Hearthstone action on the North American servers.
