The Age of Ultron begins next week, but Doomsday is coming. 

NetEase Games and Marvel Games have officially confirmed a release date for Marvel Rivals’ next Path to Doomsday game mode, themed after Avengers: Age of Ultron. The PvE mode will launch on 30 July (UTC time) with all-new cinematics and voicelines, pitting the Avengers against Ultron as his Sentries breach Avengers Tower. 

The game mode was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, along with more upcoming content like a new Luna Snow costume and physical collectibles. 

When is the Marvel Rivals Avengers: Age of Ultron mode coming out?

At a Marvel Rivals panel held during SDCC 2026 this weekend, developer NetEase Games officially locked in the next big Path to Doomsday game mode, following up on Avengers (2012)’s asymmetrical Loki PvP mode. This time around, the Avengers are taking on Ultron in what appears to be a more ambitious PvE game mode akin to Blood Hunt and Zombies. 

The mode is called Path to Doomsday–Avengers: Age of Ultron. In this mode, players control the Avengers from the titular Marvel Studios movie and fight against Ultron’s drones in Avengers Tower and Ultron’s Data Space. Dialogue from the original movie will be re-recorded with the game’s voice actors, and new cinematics will be featured for the mode. 

That’s not all, however. Path to Doomsday will culminate with more game modes and events debuting in December 2026, focusing on Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. While the specifics of these new modes have not been announced yet, players can safely expect the new content to focus on Doctor Doom–who has also played the role of Marvel Rivals’ in-game antagonist since its release. 

Luna Snow Carmine Cassette costume

Additionally, Marvel Rivals is also getting a new surprise Luna Snow costume previously unlisted in its Season 9 roadmap. The costume is called Carmine Cassette, and will only be available starting from 24 July (UTC time) until 21 August at 2am (UTC time). 

A new remix of LUNA’s “Flight Mode” song was also revealed, entitled “Flight Mode (Van Dyne Remix).” The song is now available on all music streaming platforms. 

Marvel Rivals Jeff the Land Shark collectibles

SDCC 2026 also brought a few toy reveals themed after Marvel Rivals collectors. First off is a 12-inch Jeff the Land Shark plush toy from Mattel, inspired by the Incognito Jeff costume. The toy comes with a redeemable code for Jeff’s Blue Incognito costume in-game. 

A new series of Marvel Rivals Funko Pop! figures was also revealed for Jeff, Deadpool, and Cloak & Dagger. 

Hot Toys is also making a 1/6-scale Luna Snow figure based on Marvel Rivals, which comes with a redeemable code for the Luna Snow Mirae 2099 costume.
