Capcom is overhauling Monster Hunter Wilds' bundle lineup and pricing. 

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a shake-up to its bundle lineup and base game pricing. Capcom has announced plans to discontinue its three existing bundles and replace them with a new range that includes additional content on 4 August. On the same day, the company will also permanently reduce the price of the base game, although the exact amount of the discount has yet to be revealed.

"Hunters, we are streamlining the available options for new and returning hunters joining Monster Hunter Wilds," the official Monster Hunter social media account posted.

What are the new bundles for Monster Hunter Wilds?

Capcom has unveiled three new bundles–Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition, Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Collection, and Monster Hunter Wilds Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack–replacing the existing Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition, Monster Hunter Wilds Premium Deluxe Edition, and Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Pass.

The Gold Edition is the most comprehensive package, including the base game, every currently-available cosmetic DLC pack, and the Premium Bonus. The Cosmetic DLC Collection includes the same DLC content and Premium Bonus, but excludes the base game. Meanwhile, the Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack contains only the pack of the same name, along with the Premium Bonus.

Capcom has yet to announce pricing for the new bundles.

When are the new Monster Hunter Wilds bundles coming out?

The new Monster Hunter Wilds bundles will launch on 3 August, 2026 at 5.00 PM PDT / 4 August, 2026 at 1.00 PM BST. The permanent price reduction for the base game will also take effect on the same day.

Players who purchased any of the discontinued bundles before 4 August will retain access to all of their content after the new bundles replace them.

The overhaul appears to be part of Capcom's preparations for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, the game's major expansion scheduled for release in 2027. The expansion is set to continue the story from the base game, introduce the Master Rank, and take hunters to the new Skybound Eerie region. It will also add new gameplay mechanics and mark the arrival of the long-awaited Elder Dragons.
