Dead by Daylight is 10 years old, but it’s not slowing down yet.

Behaviour Interactive held its Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary Broadcast today, highlighting a bevy of upcoming updates, crossovers, and cosmetics coming to the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. In case you missed the stream, here are the highlights!

Dead by Daylight movie adaptation names director

Movie production studio Blumhouse’s Jason Blum and producer Stephen Mulrooney popped up during the stream to assure fans that the Dead by Daylight movie adaptation is still in the works. A screenplay written by Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick has now been completed.

The biggest news here is that the movie has picked up a director: Thordur Palsson (The Damned, The Valhalla Murders). The Dead by Daylight movie is now set to begin filming in 2027, featuring game locations like The MacMillan Estate and Greenville.

Dead by Daylight: The Life Road Chapter

The next few Dead by Daylight Chapters were also revealed during this stream, starting with The Life Road. The Life Road will kick off on 25 June, 2026, with a focus on the game’s first Indigenous Survivor, Shane Wiigwaas (Dallas Goldtooth).

Dead by Daylight: Chorus of Sin Chapter

A community-driven Chapter is coming to Dead by Daylight in August 2026.

Dead by Daylight: The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter

In a full-circle moment, Dead by Daylight is crossing over with its spin-off horror game The Casting of Frank Stone, which was originally developed by Supermassive Games. The new Chapter will launch in 2027, so you have plenty of time to catch up.

Dead by Daylight’s new mall map

It’s not the Backrooms, but it’ll do. Dead by Daylight is getting an all-new map set within a mall, featuring liminal spaces and lore for characters like Dwight.

Dead by Daylight: The Black Banquet 2026

Dead by Daylight is getting a Black Banquet event very soon, running from 25 June to 16 July.

Dead by Daylight gets more Iron Maiden cosmetics

A new Eddie Legendary outfit is being released for the Huntress, in collaboration with Iron Maiden.

Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead new cosmetics

Dead by Daylight is getting even more The Walking Dead-themed items. Glenn and Negan are coming to the game as Legendary skins for Rick Grimes, launching in August 2026 and 2027, respectively.

Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill f cosmetics

Dead by Daylight is also getting another Silent Hill collaboration. While players sadly aren’t getting a full-fledged Silent Hill f chapter, they are getting two new skins themed after the game. Cheryl Mason is getting a Legendary skin to turn her into Silent Hill f’s protagonist Shimizu Hinako on 30 June, while The Spirit is getting a Nurse skin in 2027.

Dead by Daylight: Diablo skins

In a crossover that almost makes too much sense, Dead by Daylight is collaborating with Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo franchise for new cosmetics. Lilith will be represented in a skin for the Artist.

Dead by Daylight: Scooby-Doo skins

Dead by Daylight is also crossing over with Scooby-Doo. The titular dog will be represented by a Scooby-Doo-shaped onesie.

Dead by Daylight: Terrifier crossover

The long-awaited Terrifier crossover is finally happening. While no further details were announced, players can safely expect Art to appear as a Killer in this collab in November 2027.

Dead by Daylight visual overhaul, weather effects, and more in 2027

Here’s the big one: Dead by Daylight is officially getting a massive visual overhaul, adding graphical improvements to the now 10-year-old game with character model reworks, better animations, more detailed hair, and realistic facial animations. More voicelines for existing characters are also in the works.

That’s not all, however. In-game maps are also getting reworked with more detailed areas for Survivors and Killers to explore or hide in. Enhanced lighting, textures, mist effects, and shading will improve these environments. These maps are also getting a brand-new feature: a dynamic weather system, adding a ton of atmosphere to play sessions with rain, storms, and more weather patterns impacting the look and feel of a map.

Dead by Daylight is also getting official modding support in 2027, and two new game modes are in the works: 1v1 and Zombie Mode. Details on the aforementioned game modes were not given, but more information is likely to arrive in the coming months.

Dead by Daylight Year 11 roadmap

And there you have it, all of the above information packed into one neat roadmap. Another livestream hosted in the summer will shed more light on Dead by Daylight’s upcoming visual updates, so fans can look forward to even more reveals very soon.
