Battlefield 6 players are in for a whole lot of naval warfare.

Electronic Arts has officially locked in a whole lot of content coming to Battlefield 6 in Seasons 3 and 4, starting with Season 3’s big Blastpoint update. The new update adds a reimagining of Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar map, before Season 4 adds naval warfare to the game with two massive new maps: Tsuru Reef and Wake Island.

What is in Battlefield 6’s new Blastpoint update?

Battlefield 6’s Blastpoint update is a big one, providing an injection of new content for players to chew on in Season 3. The first-person shooter is getting a new map called Cairo Bazaar, which is set to be a reimagining of Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar map.

Battlefield 4’s Obliteration mode is also returning in the update. The mode tasks players with fighting for control over a single bomb in a capture the flag-like format. The PP-19 submachine gun will also be added to players’ arsenal with this update, and the Recon class is getting a new handheld electronics jammer gadget.

Battlefield 6’s Blastpoint update launches on 9 June, 2026.

When is naval warfare coming to Battlefield 6?

Electronic Arts also released a Community Update today, highlighting upcoming additions to its 2026 content roadmap for Battlefield 6. The post largely focuses on naval warfare, a highly-requested feature that is finally arriving in the game in Season 4 with two big new maps.

Season 4 will introduce Tsuru Reef and Wake Island, two coastal Battlefield maps that mash together naval combat with the franchise’s traditional combined-arms gameplay. The Tsuru Reef map is notably larger than Railway to Golmud, which is Battlefield 6’s biggest map by far.

The map takes players to a chain of tropical islands, mixing together island terrain, beach assaults, open water, and areas designed for infantry pressure. Vehicles like boats and aircraft can still be used, as players head into battle either on foot or in the sea.

Wake Island is also arriving later in Season 4 this July, as yet another updated classic Battlefield map coming to the game. Wake Island is getting updated for the scale, systems, and modern setting of Battlefield 6–but will otherwise have its core identity preserved, with naval warfare at the core of its gameplay.

EA also confirmed that it’s making progress on the features outlined in its Battlefield 2026 roadmap, including upcoming features like proximity chat (coming in Season 4) and a server browser (coming in Season 5). Platoons are also coming in Season 5, allowing players to create gaming groups of up to 100 members.

The Blackwell Fields and New Sobek maps are also getting improved in Season 5, while EA continues to mull over the possibility of bringing competitive play to multiplayer.
