Pokémon Champions launches on mobile platforms in June 2026, pre-registrations are now open
Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y are also set to arrive in June.
Pokémon Champions is set to expand beyond Nintendo hardware later this month, with The Pokémon Company confirming that the battle-focused title will launch on iOS and Android on 17 June, 2026. Alongside the announcement, pre-registrations have opened for mobile players ahead of release.

When does Pokémon Champions launch on mobile?
The Pokémon Company has announced that the mobile version of Pokémon Champions is planned for release on Wednesday, 17 June, 2026.
The launch will bring the game's cross-platform battles to a wider audience, allowing players to take part in matches across Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, iOS, and Android devices. It also marks the next major step for Pokémon Champions following its debut on Nintendo's consoles earlier this year. However, they devs noted that the release date “is subject to change without notice.”
How can players register for Pokemon Champions on mobile?
Players can now pre-register through the App Store and Google Play ahead of launch:

A free update has also been released for Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch 2. One of the key features arriving with the mobile release is full cross-platform play. Players can battle across Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, while save data can be shared between platforms by signing in with the same Nintendo Account. An internet connection is required to play.
What rewards are available in the Pokémon Champions mobile launch?
To coincide with the mobile release, Pokémon Champions will offer a limited-time reward campaign featuring Raichu, Raichunite X, and Raichunite Y. The campaign will run from Wednesday, 17 June 2026, to Wednesday, 2 September 2026, at 08:49.
Players can obtain the rewards by checking their in-game mailbox. Raichu can Mega Evolve into Mega Raichu X when holding a Raichunite X stone, while holding a Raichunite Y stone allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Raichu Y.
Raichu, Raichunite X, and Raichunite Y can be claimed in both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of Pokémon Champions. Additionally, Pokémon received through Mystery Gifts or elsewhere in Pokémon Champions cannot be deposited in Pokémon HOME.
Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y abilities revealed
More exciting news for players also await with the arrival of Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y to the game. Here are some of their newly-revealed abilities:
Mega Raichu X
Mega Raichu X.Mega Raichu X is an Electric-type Mouse Pokémon standing 1.2 metres tall and weighing 38.0 kilograms. Its Ability is "Electric Surge", which "Turns the entire field into Electric Terrain for 5 turns when the Pokémon enters a battle. When Electric Terrain is active, Pokémon on the ground have the power of their Electric-type moves boosted by 30% and they cannot fall asleep."
Mega Raichu Y
Mega Raichu Y.Mega Raichu Y is also an Electric-type Mouse Pokémon. It stands 1.0 metre tall and weighs 26.0 kilograms. Its Ability is "No Guard", which means "The accuracy of moves used both by and against the Pokémon becomes 100%".
With pre-registrations now live and launch less than two weeks away, Pokémon Champions is preparing for its biggest expansion yet. Between cross-platform play, shared progression, and the debut of Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, the mobile version will give players their first opportunity to see how the game's competitive battles evolve on a much larger stage.
