Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches this December
Nintendo has confirmed a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, a long eight years after its initial announcement. The game was famously rebooted at some point during its development, but appears to have finally shaped up enough to earn a release date.
The trailer’s YouTube description shares the following synopsis:
“Samus is targeted by the deadly sharpshooter Sylux, and lands on Viewros in the aftermath of their clash. She’ll need all her tools and abilities, including her new technologically-advanced bike Vi-O-La, to survive and escape.”
That’s right, Samus is getting a brand-new motorbike called the Vi-O-La, which she can ride in specific third-person sequences. The rest of the trailer showcased Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s sci-fi visuals, first-person action, and platforming gameplay.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is now available for pre-orders on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and launches on 4 December, 2025.
