Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC expands Lumiose City with Hoopa and Mega Raichu

The Mischief Pokémon Hoopa and two powerful Mega Raichu evolutions take centre stage in this upcoming DLC.
The world of Lumiose City is about to expand. During today’s Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will have a paid DLC called Mega Dimension, with the official Pokémon website also confirming the news.
Set for release alongside the main game on 16 October, 2025, Mega Dimension gives Trainers the chance to continue their journey after the main adventure. Following the conclusion of the campaign, fresh challenges with Team MZ await, with the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa holding the key to the unfolding tale.
Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y Join the battle
Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y revealed to be part of Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimensions DLC.Mega Dimension is not just about new stories. Two brand-new Mega Evolutions, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, have also been revealed.
Mega Raichu X harnesses electromagnetism to float and channels devastating electric energy into its fists, while Mega Raichu Y boosts its speed and unleashes amplified electric strikes with shocking precision. Each form requires a unique Mega Stone, so Trainers will need to carefully decide which path to pursue.
And of course, Hoopa itself plays a major role. Known as the Mischief Pokémon, it can warp space with the rings on its horns and body, opening paths to far-off places. Spatial distortions have begun appearing across Lumiose, adding yet another layer of mystery to the city.
DLC bonuses and pre-order details
According to the official Pokémon website, purchasing Mega Dimension unlocks special Holo-X and Holo-Y apparel sets for character customisation. Those who purchase the DLC before 28 February, 2026 will also receive a Luxurious Poké Ball Set, containing a variety of premium Poké Balls especially effective for catching rare Pokémon.
Mega Dimension will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with pre-orders already live via the My Nintendo Store, which is offering exclusive physical pre-order bonuses.
With Lumiose’s urban redevelopment project as the backdrop, and with Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as starting partner Pokémon, Pokémon Legends: Z-A already promised a bold new chapter for the series. Mega Dimension looks set to build on that foundation, ensuring Trainers have even more to discover long after launch.
