Silksong when? September. Silksong where? Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass has unveiled its lineup of new games for September, and yes, it includes Hollow Knight: Silksong. The highly-anticipated Metroidvania sequel has been due to arrive on Xbox Game Pass for years now, but this is a nice little reminder that its release is now just a day away. 

Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on Xbox Game Pass alongside other new games this month, including I Am Your Beast, Nine Sols, and more. 

Hollow Knight: Silksong joins Xbox Game Pass lineup in September

Microsoft has revealed Xbox Game Pass’ lineup of new games for September, and it's a whopper. These games include:

  • I am Your Beast
  • Nine Sols
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong
  • Cataclismo
  • PAW Patrol World
  • RoadCraft

I am Your Beast, a revenge thriller shooter, is now available on Xbox Game Pass, but the rest of this lineup has yet to launch. Nine Sols, a 2D game with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice-like combat, is set to launch later today on 3 September, serving as an action-platforming appetiser to this month's big headliner game. 

That game is, of course, Hollow Knight: Silksong. Team Cherry’s highly-anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight launches on Xbox Game Pass on day one of its release: tomorrow, on 4 September, 2025. On the same day, Xbox Game Pass is also adding the fortress management game Cataclismo. 

3D action-adventure game PAW Patrol World also lands on the subscription service later on 10 September, before construction vehicle simulator RoadCraft arrives on 16 September. That about sums it up for September’s lineup, but it should also be noted that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s The Order of Giants expansion is also launching on 4 September, with subscribers getting a 10% discount on the Digital Premium Upgrade required to access it. 

Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also check out EA Sports NHL 26 in early access on 5 September, with their progress also getting carried over to the full game. On a sadder note, the following games are also being removed from Xbox Game Pass this month, on 15 September:

  • All You Need is Help
  • Wargroove 2 
  • We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie
