SEGA has officially announced a release date for Football Manager 2026. The football management game will launch on 5 November, 2025, with PC pre-orders open as of today. The release follows SEGA’s cancellation of Football Manager 25, which caused the franchise to skip a year.

Football Manager 26 sets release date

SEGA is officially bringing back the Football Manager franchise for another go, after axing Football Manager 25. Football Manager 26, which is developed by SEGA and Sports Interactive, will be powered by the Unity engine and will feature a slate of improvements to the management experience fans have become accustomed to.

The game adds women’s football and the official Premier League license, giving it another step up over its predecessors. According to SEGA, Football Manager 26 also has new animations and visual effects, on top of several UI improvements that can be especially felt when players are trying to make transfers, do some scouting, or decide on tactics.

Players can also carry over their save data from Football Manager 23 and Football Manager 25, allowing them to keep their careers running despite the shift in game engines. Anyone who pre-orders the game on PC will also receive two weeks of early access before launch.

Football Manager 26 launches on 5 November, 2025.
