There’s plenty for Umamusume: Pretty Derby players to dive into in the coming days, withSpring G1 Celebration Part 1 underway. The limited-time event began on 21 July 2025 at 10:00 pm UTC (6:00 am SGT / 3:00 pm PST), featuring rotating missions and bonus campaigns ahead of a second phase in August. The event was announced on the official X account, and full details are available on the game’s official website.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby, developed by Cygames, features characters inspired by real-life Japanese racehorses, with many named after famous winners of major G1 races. The celebration is themed around races like the Oka Sho, Satsuki Sho, and Tenno Sho (Spring), echoing the game’s inspiration from real-world Japanese horse racing.

Players can access the new limited-time missions via the Missions tab on the home screen. Rewards include Carats, Monies, and Support Points

Timed phases and mission tracking details

Spring G1 Celebration Part 1 features three mission sets, each with a specific availability period:

  • Oka Sho Missions: 21 July, 6:00 am SGT / 3:00 pm PST – 27 July, 10:59 pm SGT
  • Satsuki Sho Missions: 27 July, 11:00 am SGT / 8:00 pm PST – 3 August, 10:59 pm SGT
  • Tenno Sho (Spring) Missions: 3 August, 11:00 am SGT / 8:00 pm PST – 10 August, 10:59 pm SGT

Only progress made after a mission’s activation time will count toward completion. Conditions met prior to that, or during retries using the Continue feature in Career mode, will not be valid. Players must also claim rewards before each mission window ends, as expired missions cannot be redeemed.

An Increased Daily Race Tickets campaign will run from 31 July, 11:00 am SGT / 8:00 pm PST to 7 August, 10:59 pm SGT. During this time, players will receive three extra tickets daily. Part 2 of the Spring G1 Celebration is expected in August.

Originally released in Japan in 2021, Umamusume: Pretty Derby finally launched worldwide on 26 June 2025, available on Steam, iOS, and Android. The game mixes racing and idol simulation, with a cast of characters inspired by real-life Japanese racehorses. The global version has quickly found its footing  with a growing player base across all platforms.
