The Lego Game Boy set launches this October.

Lego and Nintendo have officially opened pre-orders for the Lego Game Boy set, a brick-built near 1:1 scale model based on Nintendo’s iconic handheld gaming console. Lego dropped a nostalgic trailer for the upcoming set this week, confirming that pre-orders are now available.

Lego Game Boy model opens pre-orders, launches in October

Following Lego and Nintendo’s collaboration for the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System set, both companies are teaming up again for yet another brick-built console: the Game Boy. The Lego Game Boy set is a near 1:1 scale model of the iconic handheld gaming console, built out of bricks and packed with nostalgic detail for veteran Nintendo fans.

The set consists of 421 bricks, which make up a Lego model inspired by the Game Boy inclusive of a + Control Pad, SELECT and START buttons, and A and B buttons. The set even includes some of the Game Boy’s more frivolous details, like a volume dial and contrast adjustment.

That’s not all, however–to reflect some of the console’s most popular titles, this set comes with game cartridges for The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Land. These cartridges can be fitted into the Lego Game Boy, and players can also display multiple screens on the model themed after the two games.

Sadly, the Lego Game Boy is incapable of running Lego versions of Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Land. This is more of a collectible for nostalgic fans, which is now open for pre-orders on Lego’s official website.

The Lego Game Boy set is priced at US$70, and launches on 1 October, 2025.
