The article was written based on teams’ drafts only for the current 6.84 patch in collaboration with Jaishil “Drifter” Mistry and it highlights their current playstyle.

EHOME

Achievements:
9 - 12th DAC
5 - 8th MDL

EHOME is one of the oldest DotA 2 team in the Chinese scene and after a long period of instability and poor results the name was revived at the beginning of this year by the legendary player and coach Tang "71" Wenyi. Featuring a mixture of new faces and well known veterans EHOME secured themselves a spot in the biggest event of the year after winning the Chinese qualifiers.

In 6.84 patch they had very few official games played, failing to qualify for i-League and being knocked out from MDL from the group stage. Even so, in the successful run that they had in the Ti5 qualifiers they’ve shown some good quality aggressive DotA, in tune with the latest patch.

Using the benefits of having the much experienced rOtK among them, EHOME are not afraid to draft almost any hero that can provide early great initiation power, or heavy damage potential on towers just to make sure they get the map control in the first ten minutes of the game. EHOME like to pressure their enemies in five man teamfights as soon as possible and that’s why they prefer to run the Drow Ranger - Visage combo along Rubick or Ancient Apparition, supports with heavy magic damage potential.

EHOME Roster:

Yang 'Yang' Pu
Chen 'Cty' Tianyu
Bai 'rOtK' Fan
Zhang 'LaNm' Zhicheng
Liang 'DDC' Faming

MvP.HOT6

Achievements:
7th DreamLeague Season 2
4th i-League Season 2
4th StarLadder Season 11
13 - 16th DAC
4th jD- MLG Pro League Season 1

MvP.HOT6 is truly living up to their name, looking extremely hot indeed during the SEA TI5 qualifiers. The addition of Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka brought a plus in their aggressive high risk - high reward playstyle with his mean Lina or Shadow Demon plays.

The Korean squad displays good flexibility in this current meta and for instance, a first Leshrac pick doesn’t reveal too much information about their plans as it could be the main carry for Forev or a core mid pick and even a casual support. They love running a Leshrac repelled by Omniknight or the classic Zeus - Bloodseeker combo that puts fear into their opponents hearts.

In their games played during TI5 SEA qualifiers they've shown extremely aggressive plays with dives up to the tier 3 towers in the first minutes of the game, relying on their individual skills, being convinced that they can outplay the opposing team which they did and for most of the games they managed to bring the score board up to 20 kills in the first ten minutes.

MvP.HOT6 Roster:

Lee 'Forev' Sang-don
Pyo 'MP' No-a
Lee 'SunBhie' Jeong-jae
Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka
Lee 'Heen' Seung-gon

compLexity Gaming

Achievements:
3rd Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 3
7 - 8th Dota Pit League Season 2
3rd Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 4
3 - 4th BTS Americas

compLexity is well known e-Sports organization in North America and their return into the competitive DotA 2 scene was  marked last year when one of  Heroes of Newerth stars, David "MoonMeander" Tan decided to switch full time to DotA. Undergoing many roster changes, the final five players to play in TI5 US qualifiers under the complexity banner were decided only in May this year when the free agent Tal “Fly” Aizik joined their ranks.

Apart from TI5 qualifiers where they earned their main event spot, they've only participated in the recent BTS Americas where they finished in the fourth place. Having only this two tournaments played in the 6.84 patch there's no conclusive data to draw from but their drafts are reflecting the North American playstyle, which is somehow different from the rest of the world. They often choose to ban Pudge for example, in some of their games in both Ti5 qualifiers and BTS Americas, which is not a common move for the rest of the regions.

With Fly returning to his support role, which proved to be a more than effective move, coL is prioritizing his Rubick pick and at the same time they make sure they can get the roaming Bounty Hunter for themselves (the most played hero by them in BTS Americas). Alongside Bounty Hunter, Queen of Pain is another top pick for compLexity who are clearly displaying a heavy gank oriented playstyle.

compLexity Gaming Roster:

Luis 'Zyzz' Perez
Kyle 'swindlemelonzz' Freedman
David 'MoonMeander' Tan
Zakari 'Zfreek' Freedman
Tal 'Fly' Aizik
