Ohaiyo: 'With sufficient training, we will be able <br>to beat them this year.'
Hello Ohaiyo, it has been quite a while. How are you?
Hi. Well, I’m very good and had a long rest during Chinese New year *laughs*.
You and Net were recently added into Orange’s roster. How is the new Orange bonding in teamwork and how is the training going?
I think our teamwork isn’t good enough [yet] especially me *laughs*. However, the training is going well and I am learning more with them. We will be doing better in the future.
Before your arrival, Mushi used to play the solo mid for Orange but you are playing it now. Did you guys had a discussion on who is going to play what role before joining?
Yeah. We had a discussion before going to Orange on what role I will be playing.
When MUFC were in the verge of disbandment, how did Mushi came to the conclusion to pick you and Net? Why not Ling?
I think it’s because of the roles. Ling’s utility role is clashing with Xtinct’s and that is why Mushi didn’t pick Ling.
“It comes down to what is suitable for the game on hand”
According to Winter on last night's Gosucup stream, he said Orange is extremely versatile and everybody can switch to every role to confuse opponents. Is this true and if yes, how often do you do it?
Yeah. Sometimes Mushi will play the solo mid role and I will switch to play carry instead. With that said, it really depends on how the opponents will lane, their heroes, and we will switch the roles depending on which item build we would go on the heroes. It comes down to what is suitable for the game on hand.
You and Orange are off to a good start in 2013 winning all three SEA tournaments you participated in. Do you think you can carry on with this momentum throughout the year till TI3?
Yes, we will play our best to get invited into The International 3. This is obvious. It has always been one of my dream to go to The International.
Last year, Orange finished 8th in The International 2 despite the high expectations placed on the team. What will you guys be aiming for this year?
Every team participating in The International will all be aiming for the champion. So I will aim for the champion too!! (Double exclamation insisted)

Do you think Orange is currently on the same level as the Chinese teams or do you guys need more training?
I think we are not on the same level as Chinese teams now, but we believe in ourselves and with sufficient training, we will be able to beat them this year.
“We believe in ourselves and with sufficient training, we will be able to beat them this year”
Have you watched any of their games recently? What do you think you guys need to improve on to be on same level with them?
I didn’t get to their watch their replays much recently. I think we need to focus more on practicing on some of our teamwork and gameplay. The Chinese is very good at not committing mistakes when they play. They may pick the same heroes as us the whole tournament but they always play stable and to perfection.
Now that MUFC has disbanded, the next best team in Malaysia is probably the newly formed team ABC. What do you think about this team personally? Do you think they will be a tough contender in the future?
Yeah, they are quite the tough contender in the Malaysian scene. They are made up of some of the best players in Malaysia but we are confident to be able to win them over the long run. No problem.
Of course there is some rivalry and lust. They are fighting us to take the Malaysia’s number one Dota team. We won’t go down so easily!
There are going to be a lot of SEA tournaments this year. Have you noticed any teams that are starting to become very good and need to handle them with care?
Yeap. More and more Pinoy teams are dedicating themselves to Dota 2 such as Dreamz, Mineski and MSI. I believe they will become strong very quickly.
“Pinoy teams are quickly becoming stronger”
According to rumours, you have been in hometown during the final stages of the SEA League a few weeks back. How long have you not been back there?
Well it seems that I haven’t seen my parents for about two months. They are almost always unavailable due to work and I have a lot of tournaments to play in for the last two months (SMM, The Asia, G-League).

Wouldn't you be able to play in a LAN café or at home in your hometown?
*laughs* My hometown do not have any LAN cafes to play Dota 2 and my home computer is not good enough to support Dota 2 too. It will jam up sometimes and that’s why I can’t play when I went back to my hometown.
Out of the many talents in Malaysia, why did the team decided to pick Kecik Imba as your sixth player. Was there any training between him and the Orange Dota 2 squad before?
They trained after I went back to my hometown. Kecik Imba is one of Orange’s HoN member before this and he just came back to Dota 2 recently. He is a multi-talented player and he is also good in Dota 2. Plus he is only 17 years old and have a long future ahead for him in Dota 2.
“Kecik Imba is multi-talented”
Now that Kecik Imba is a permanent sub for the team, when will he be starting? Or is he just playing whenever somebody can not make it?
I think so. However, Mushi occasionally will be our coach while the five of us train together.
Wouldn’t a six-man roster make training a little harder?
Mushi will decide whether or not he wants to play. I think it’s really no problem having six players.
Thanks for the interview Ohaiyo. Would you like to give a shoutout to all your fans here in GosuGamers?
Thank you for interviewing me Gosugamers and a big shoutout to all our fans there. A special thanks to our sponsors, Orange Esports and Neolution Esports for all their support.
