PARIVISION take down Xtreme Gaming to advance to the Top 3 of The International 2025

PARIVISION have finally ended Xtreme Gaming's five-match winning streak at The International 2025.
The dominance of the Chinese Dota 2 teams in The International (TI) 2025 has been fully shattered by the second day of the Playoffs. Eastern European powerhouse PARIVISION soundly swept Chinese favourites Xtreme Gaming, 2-0, in the upper bracket semifinals on Friday (12 September) to become the first team advancing to the upper bracket finals.
While the Chinese scene has been in sharp decline for years now, the region's hopes of reclaiming the Aegis of Champions have been reinvigorated in the early stages of TI 2025. Xtreme finished the Group Stage as the top seed by winning all their matches in the first four rounds and earned a direct berth to the Playoffs. Team Tidebound, the second Chinese squad in the tournament, were also among the three teams to advance to the Playoffs after the Group Stage.
Meanwhile, PARIVISION entered TI 2025 as one of the biggest favourites, though their path to the Playoffs has been far from smooth. They finished the Group Stage with a 3-2 record, suffering losses to Tidebound and regional rivals BetBoom Team, and had to go through the Elimination Stage as a result. There, PARIVISION secured their spot in the Playoffs by knocking out North America's Wildcard.
In the opening day of the Playoffs, PARIVISION and Xtreme swept their respective opponents in HEROIC and Tundra Esports to face off in the upper bracket semifinals. However, the pressure has been mounting on the Chinese teams even ahead of that highly-anticipated clash. Tidebound were previously knocked down to the lower bracket by Team Falcons and were then subsequently eliminated by Nigma Galaxy.
PARIVISION then simply outclassed Xtreme in the upper bracket semifinals, comfortably taking game one in 30 minutes before closing out the series in a 52-minute game two.
With their victory, PARIVISION have guaranteed themselves at least a Top 3 finish as well as over US$230,000 in winnings. They will next face the winner of the other upper bracket semifinal match between Falcons and BetBoom in the upper bracket finals, where a spot in the grand finals will be at stake.
Meanwhile, Xtreme drop down to the lower bracket quarterfinals, where they will have to continue their campaign at TI 2025 under threat of elimination.
