PARIVISION knocked out of Clavision Masters 2025: Snow Ruyi by Xtreme Gaming

PARIVISION were knocked out by hometown team Xtreme Gaming in a dominant 2-0 sweep.
Eastern European Dota 2 powerhouse PARIVISION have been eliminated from Clavision Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi, a US$700,000 tournament currently underway in China. Their early exit comes as a major surprise, as the team were the biggest favourites to lift the trophy.
The upset came at the hands of hometown representatives, Xtreme Gaming (XG), a team with a weaker form coming into the event. XG swept PARIVISION, 2-0, in dominant fashion in the second round of the Playoffs' lower bracket to knock them out of the tournament in 7th-8th place.
PARIVISION were only the third team to be eliminated from Snow-Ruyi, following the bottom-placed teams Yakult Brothers and Team Yandex. After PARIVISION’s elimination, BOOM Esports joined them in the same placement following a close contest against BetBoom Team. Both teams take home US$36,750 in consolation.
PARIVISION’s poor playoff run leads to early elimination
Touted as the top-performing team of the season, PARIVISION entered Snow-Ruyi as the frontrunners for the title, with three LAN wins already under their belt. However, their tournament in China run fell far short of expectations.
In the group stage, PARIVISION secured early victories against Tundra Esports, XG, and BOOM. But to the surprise of many, they would lose their final matchup of the Group Stage against underdogs Nigma Galaxy. As a result, the team finished second in Group A and were seeded into the upper bracket quarterfinals.
There, they faced off against a strong opponent, Gaimin Gladiators. Side by side, PARIVISION holds more stature as their opponents had a turbulent start to the season with no remarkable achievements so far. But PARIVISION were overwhelmed in a one-sided 0-2 loss, dropping them into the lower bracket.
There, they faced XG in the team’s first elimination match. In hindsight, it should be smooth sailing for PARIVISION as they had previously defeated the Chinese squad during the Group Stage. XG also didn’t seem promising as they merely clinched a win against BOOM during the groups, then won another against Yakult Brothers.
Despite the difference in form, XG managed to avenge themselves with a 2-0 victory, concluding game one in 35 minutes and the next in 38 minutes. With back-to-back losses in the Playoffs, PARIVISION suffers elimination from the event.
This underperformance in the Clavision Masters may temper expectations for PARIVISION at The International (TI) 2025, set for a month from now. However, the team may also be pacing itself for the championship, as this result follows a recent promising Top 3 finish at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025.
Only six teams remain in the hunt
With the second day of Playoffs wrapping up, only six teams remain in contention for the championship title and the US$213,500 first-place prize.
Tundra Esports and Team Tidebound lead the race in the upper bracket finals, set to clash each other for a spot in the grand finals. The lower bracket intensifies as Nigma Galaxy will face off against XG while Gaimin Gladiators takes on BetBoom Team. The winners of both matchups will play each other in the lower bracket semifinals.
