LGD secure an upper bracket seed at The International 2023 as they make quick work of SA team Keyd Stars.

The second phase of the group stage is coming to an end. Today's matches will fully set the playoff brackets for The International 2023. In the first series of the day, China definitely showed up as LGD proved that despite having only two teams in Seattle, the region should still be feared.

LGD GamingvsKeyd Stars 2:0

In the first match of the series LGD went with a Phoenix opening. Keyd Stars went with a split push draft, which was going to be tricky against LGD's Shaker, Doom, and Muerta. But that didn't even matter honestly.  LGD shut down the BristleBack hard early on and with Luna farming super fast, the Chinese team gave the Brazilians no chance to even find their footing. LGD played their draft as they needed to and Keyd Stars looked very lost. In just over 30 minutes LGD took what seemed to be a free game for the series advantage.

In the second match LGD went with another underpredictable opening, this time with Spirit Breaker. Good rotations from Keyd Stars for early aggression allowed them to take an early lead with the first few kills. However, once LGD's Bristle Back came online, LGD began to just rip Keyd Stars apart and demolish their hopes. In just under 30 minutes LGD took the victory with another clean game.

With their victory, LGD claims the upper bracket seed. Keyd Stars are still alive, they will just continue their journey to The International 2023 in the lower brackets.
