Evil Geniuses make quick work of Shopify Rebellion to eliminate them from Berlin Major

North America remains with no teams left in the competition at the ESL One Berlin Major after Evil Geniuses take out Shopify Rebellion.
“We probably came in with the wrong idea,” said Shopify Rebellion captain, Tal "Fly" Aizik in the interview for the official ESL One English broadcast right after his team suffered a crushing 0-2 defeat at the hands of Evil Geniuses.
Shopify RebellionvsEvil Geniuses
Game One game looked rather atrocious for SR’s Artour "Arteezy" Babaev who finished 0-7-0 on Sven. Evil Geniuses had a perfect laning stage on the back of two very active supports and a beast mode Jean Pierre "Chris Luck" Salazar on a mid lane Shadow Fiend. The extra gold bounty on kills from their position 4 Bounty Hunter made the game look like a walk in the park for EG who established full control over the twin gates, the Roshan pits and ultimately on the game. A final mishmash between the twin gates just before the 30 minute mark where SR got caught and Sven registered his 7th death had the NA team call the GG with just 3 kills to their name and 28 total deaths.
It was more of the same in game two, although Shopify tried to secure a better start for Artour on Troll Warlord this time around. However, SR were not prepared for a mid lane Legion Commander while also underestimating Alchemist’s monster farm. Crhistian "Pakazs" Savina was out of control fast and was able to connect for five man Dota extremely early to secure a fast and clinical 2-0 for his team.
With Shopify Rebellion out, NA lost its last hope at the Berlin Major title while the SA fans are going to witness EG playing in front of the live audience in the Velodrom Arena on May 5th.
Until then, the Major will resume on May 3 with one more round of matches held behind closed doors. The third day in the playoffs will start at noon, CEST time with another elimination series, PSG.LGDvsTalon Esports and will continue with the upper bracket semifinals Gaimin GladiatorsvsOG scheduled for 14:30 CEST and 9 PandasvsTundra Esports, set to begin at 19:00 CEST.
