Midas Mode by MoonduckTV will feature none other than OG and Evil Geniuses in the debut event scheduled for November.
Back in February MoonduckTV announced the plans for a new unconventional tournament - Midas Mode, originally anticipated to be held after the Kiev Major sometime. Now, the studio has revealed that the event is scheduled for November of this year. Little to no additional information has been provided in terms of game play or details, but fans are now sure to be hyped as both OG and Evil Geniuses have been confirmed as participants.
At the time of inception, the idea was to include a market system using MoonBucks, distributed to each team to be used to draft, ban heroes or pause the game.
When a team runs out of their money, a ‘hard mode’ will be enabled – allowing only the ‘worst heroes’ to be selected and no bans or pauses will be permitted.
A Bounty System will be put into place for teams to earn money back through community challenges – such as playing a game with Techies, killing Roshan but leaving the Aegis, and selecting only flying heroes.
The price is expected to fluctuate from game to game creating a market system based on supply and demand as well as finding a balanced economy.
More details to follow in the next weeks, but it is only expected that MoonduckTV will put a refreshing break to the traditional broadcasted events that are flooding the next few months.
