The third team to be invited to EPICENTER: Moscow 2017 has been announced; and it’s Virtus.Pro.

After a brilliant performance at the Kiev Major, which saw the team take a very commendable second place, Virtus.Pro have been rewarded with the third invite to EPICENTER: Moscow 2017. Playing as the tournament favourites in Kiev, VP took down nearly every team that stood in their way with ease – until a 3-2 loss in the grand finals saw them claim the runners up trophy. The team have still shown their might in recent times, taking the top honours at The Summit 6 late last year along with a fairly decent performance at the Boston Major.

EPICENTER: Moscow 2016 was an absolutely magnificent event but VP failed to make it above a 7th-8th place. This year, with the main event a month away, VP will be looking to improve upon their result at the Kiev Major and take home their share of the $500,000 prize money, as winners. And with the team looking as strong as they are right now, they could definitely find themselves doing so.

EPICENTER: Moscow 2017 Prize Pool Breakdown

1st Place: $250,000
2nd Place: 100,000
3rd and 4th Place: $40,000
5th and 6th Place: $20,000
7th and 8th Place: $10,000
9th and 10th Place: $5,000

With no roster changes in sight for the Virtus.Pro boys, EPICENTER: Moscow 2017 may just be their chance to take another tournament by storm. With three invites now out, three remain – and we look forward to seeing who they will be.
