EG triumph over OG in the Dota Pit Season 5 Grand Finals

EG won their first tournament for the calendar 2017 and avenged OG for eliminating them from the Boston Major. The final will also be remembered as the longest one in Dota 2 history due to a number of technical difficulties causing a delay of several hours.

TnC qualify for LAN finals

Recently crowned Champions of WESG 2016, TnC displayed great form once more by topping the SEA qualifiers group for SL i-League #3. A total of eight teams fought for the one qualifier spot, including the likes of Execration, Fnatic, Faceless and WG Unity.

European and American qualifiers are in full swing

European and American qualifiers will kicked off on the 24th of January with eight teams in each region fighting each other in a bo2 round robin group stage. The top two teams from Europe and the group winner from America will qualify for the LAN Finals.

Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017

NextGen will replace Fnatic at DAC 2017 qualifiers

Despite having only three stable members since the Spring Shuffle lockdown, Fnatic received an invite to the SEA qualifiers for DAC 2017, one which they cannot honor. With the Malaysian team withdrawing from the DAC 2017 regional qualifiers, a Vietnamese squad received their spot. Next Gen announced last night on their twitter account that they will be replacing Fnatic.

DAC 2017 regional qualifiers for Europe, CIS, SEA and Americas will commence on February 3rd with eight teams from each region divided in two groups of four.

NP announce bOne7 as their coach

NP announced on the 22nd of January their decision of adding an official coach to the tem. The long-time friend and ex - team mate of EnVy and Aui_200 from Cloud 9 era, Pittner 'bOne7' Armand will be joining NP from the coach seat.

bOne7’s official statement:

“ I’m happy to join Team NP as their coach. I bring to the table a deep understanding of how my former teammates operate and think about the game. We shared many memories in the past and I look forward to building something great together. Maybe it takes being a coach to convince my team to buy TPs.”

Ninjas in Pyjamas return to Dota 2

The Swedish organization that left the Dota 2 scene at the end of 2015, announced its comeback by signing syndereN’s team January 25th.
