One of the last tournaments of the year will feature several European teams competing for a $5000 prize pool.

On the 28th of December, one day after the roster lock drop period, the second season of the online tournament series Royal Arena will be kicking off with a $5000 prize pool, which will be distributed to the top three of six participating European teams. In order to decide the prize pool’s recipients, the six invited teams will play in a group stage and playoff stage.

In the group stage, after being separated into two groups of three, the six teams will be playing best-of-twos to decide their seeding in the best-of-three single elimination playoff bracket; a first place finish in the group stage will guarantee a spot in the bracket’s semi-finals, and a second or third place finish will result in a quarter-finals seed. The grand finals of the event will be best-of-five, and the third place decider, a best-of-three.

Participating teams:
Alliance
Horde
Vega Squadron
ex-Imperial
Empire
Rebels

Prize pool distribution:
1st - $3000
2nd - $1500
3rd - $500

The second season of Royal Arena comes after the completion of the tournament series' first season in October this year. In the first season, Imperial (now ex-Imperial) took a dominating victory over Escape Gaming in the finals, defeating them 3-0 and taking home the first place prize of $3000.
