As the final day of the group stage approaches, the standings of teams are becoming more apparent.
After the conclusion of tomorrow's games, the brackets for the playoffs will be decided. The top four teams in group A will be facing up against the top four in group B in the upper bracket, while the bottom four of the groups will be playing in the best-of-one lower bracket.
At the bottom of group A is LGD and NA'VI with four points each and Escape with one point. In group B, the bottom four are, Fnatic, Secret, VG.R and MVP.P with the scores of 2,3,4,4 respectively. Among the last placers, Escape, Fnatic and Secret have it the hardest, as they will be reliant on both luck and their ability to 2-0 their opponents if they wish to play in the playoff's upper brackets.
As for the teams in the top four, group B's first placer, EHOME, is guaranteed a spot in the upper bracket during the play-offs while group A's first placer, EG, are very likely to get an upper bracket seed, provided that TnC and Alliance do not pull several upsets and they do not drop the ball in their matches tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in the middle of both group A and B are teams with four and five points. As long as they do not concede a 0-2 defeat, these teams stand a good chance to force tie-breakers or straight up qualify for the upper bracket. Games which may have a large effect on the standings has been bolded in the schedule.
