After a demoralizing loss in game one against Vici Gaming, Team Spirit are eliminated from the tournament.
In the best-of-two series between Team Spirit and VG, only one game was played - Spirit conceded the last game. Team Spirit was allowed to forfeit their last game due to one of their players not feeling very well. With the series lost, Team Spirit becomes the first team to be eliminated from MDL.
Game One:
Team Spirit got off to an amazing start, with Chen and Ursa managing to take control of the early game, securing multiple kills and a nearly insurmountable lead. Riding the advantage, Spirit's Invoker and Lifestealer were able to get their items up and secured even more kills. When it was time to tackle the high ground, Spirit failed and allowed VG to break out of their base to find the farm needed for facing Team Spirit. Sensing that the tides of battle were turning, Spirit tried for Rosh but got spotted by VG, the resulting team fight was far from ideal and VG was propelled into the lead; a few more pick offs later, VG won the game.
