Team Liquid got eliminated from the Nanyang Championship with a comprehensive performance from Ehome
Day five of the Nanyang Championship kicked off with the third round of the lower bracket game. Team Liquid confronted EHOME in a best of three series. In the first game Team Liquid opted for a standard draft while EHOME differed and picked up an Elder Titan which was played by Zhang'LaNm'Zhicheng. The combination of Elder titan and Wang'oldchicken' Zhiyong on his Templar Assassin was starting to become a problem for Team Liquid as there was a substantial reduction in the armor. Throughout the game there was never a clear winner. The networth and experience charts were wavering but ultimately EHOME took advantage of the fact that Team Liquid had four heroes down including the Alchemist and Slark without buybacks. With this advantage they went straight to the ancient and helping themselves secured game one.
In a crucial do or die game two for Team Liquid, they opted to draft standard meta picks as before, while EHOME surprised the spectators and Team Liquid again with an Ursa last pick for Chen'Cty'Tiyanu. Ursa took the mid lane causing some serious trouble for Adrian'FATA-'Trinks on his Alchemist. With extreme ganking potential EHOME took a severe early advantage putting Team Liquid on the backseat. The Alchemist was able to farm sufficiently to defend the high ground but for not long as the damage output and the disables from the chinese team was too much too handle, eventually leading Team Liquid to call out the final GG.
With this win EHOME progresses to take on Vici Gaming later today in a crucial Loser’s Bracket final where the winner of that game will have a chance to play against Team Secret coming Sunday.
