MVP.Phoenix might have lost against Fantic yesterday, in the SEA qualifiers finals but they came back stronger today and slaughter First Departure to claim the second spot for the Shanghai major LAN event.
The South East Asian qualifiers for the Shanghai Major are over, the two advancing team from the region have been decided with Fnatic taking the first qualifier spot, followed by MVP.Phoenix today.
MVP took down the Singaporeans from First Departure with a clean 2-0 victory on the back of an Earth Spirit drafted by Dooyoung "DuBu" Kim for himself in both of the games played and well executed early aggression that put FD at a huge disadvantage right from the start.
For instance, the second game of the series started with a skirmish for the first spawning rune in which FD was stressing on not allowing Sun "QO" Kim’s Alchemist to take it and came with the entire team to fight. By the first minute mark the bounty rune battle end up with a total of seven kills, five going in favor of MVP, and all their heroes have started the laning phase at level two and three because of that.
A starting advantage that was impossible for FD to overcome and had to admit their defeat at the 35 minute mark when they were already defending high ground with two sets of barracks lost.
