Beyond the Summit announce dates for The Summit 5 (13th to the 17th of July 2016) and The Summit 6 (7th to the 11th of December 2016)
In the light-hearted fashion that permeated the entirety of The Summit 4, the Beyond the Summit crew announced the dates for the coming instalments to the much-loved tournament series. In between candid shots of players laughing, gags, and Dakota 'KOTLguy' Cox wearing a fantastic Christmas jersey, it was announced that The Summit 5 would take place from the 13th to the 17th of July 2016, and The Summit 6 would be held from the 7th to the 11th of December 2016.
In a video posted to their YouTube channel, the team behind Beyond the Summit summed up the atmosphere of The Summit 4, with many different shots showing the unique atmosphere that the home-based tournament series evokes.
Near the end of the video, KOTLguy announced the dates for The Summit 5 and The Summit 6, before teasing some potential ‘highlights’ of the coming tournaments. These included such tantalising attractions as actual sports, Mahjong tournaments, and the return of the hot tub interviews that were so well-received in previous iterations of The Summit, but were absent from The Summit 4.
There is no tournament atmosphere like that of The Summit. Players get to play all together in one house and generally be more comfortable, whilst still playing top-quality Dota. This combination makes The Summit tournaments highlights for both viewers and players alike. Mark 13-17 July and 7-11 December 2016 in your Dota calendar – The Summit 5 and The Summit 6 are certainly not to be missed!
