The Chinese Qualifiers for the Summit 4 starts today. It will be featuring none other than two former TI - Champions, Newbee and IG, fighting for the spot in the Main Event.

The Summit 4 Chinese Qualifiers will be starting today; it will feature eight top teams coming from the region competing for the spot in the Main Event. The first game of the qualifier will be a clash of fallen giants as it will feature Newbee and IG battling, champions of TI4 and TI2 respectively, battling it out to prove that their time in the abyss is done and is ready to fight with the best teams in the world.

The eight participating teams will face-off with each other in a series of best-of-three double elimination bracket with a best-of-five grand finals. The top two teams of the qualifier will be getting their deserved slot in the Main Event, a chance to prove the region’s strength and a team’s worth.

It is noteworthy that CDEC, the stellar team who almost won TI5, will be facing their own blood, the younger squad of CDEC, CDEC.Y. The battle between two sister teams is not a rare occasion as this has happened in the past; MVP.Phoenix has faced off with their sister squad MVP.Hot6ix in the SEA Regional Qualifiers of TI5 and EG has faced off multiple times against Alliance, a sister branch under the same organization. This will be a good match as both teams clearly know they have something to prove to each other. Will CDEC be able to school their younger brother or will CDEC.Y teach CDEC some new lesson?
