The drafting craziness that Elimination Mode brought up for the last four days has come to an end with 4Clovers & Lepricorn emerging victorious in the best-of five grand finals versus Digital Chaos.
Congratulations to @4CloversDota for taking first place in our Elimination Mode tournament!
— moonduckTV (@moonduckTV) September 20, 2015This comes as the first title in this season for the renewed roster of 4Clovers & Lepricorn who failed to impress at the ELS One European qualifiers and had their chance to play at a LAN event denied once the Gaming Paradise got canceled.
Although they changed no less than three players in the recent post TI5 shuffle and despite the fact they had to play with a standin for some of their Elimination Mode games 4C&L reached the grand finals undefeated.
Undefeated were also the newly formed Digital Chaos but their round two advance was granted by Fire who had to forfeit their game versus Aui_2000’s squad in the first day of the tournament.
It took four games in order to establish who would take home the first Moonduck Elimination Mode title. 4Clovers &Lepricorn managed to keep up their good form and take down DC with a 3-1 final score.
At the last moment the organizers decided to change the $10,000 prize pool distribution as follows:
1st place: $5,000 - 4Clovers & Lepricorn
2nd place: $3,000 - Digital Chaos
3rd/4th place: $1,000 - Alliance/ROOT Gaming
