Started on 2nd July with 16 American teams competing for a $10.000 prize pool, BTS America reached the third round with four teams remaining in the competition.
Set to be the final tournament to happen before The International 5, BTS Americas serves as a good training competitive environment for the winners of US TI5 qualifiers and the runners up as both Complexity and Archon (ex. North American Rejects) advanced in the bracket.
Over the course of the second round four teams have been eliminated, including Peter “Waytosexy” Nguyenteam’s Waytostack who got swiped out by Jimmy “DeMoN”Ho’s team, Summer's Rift. While Complexity had no problems to advance, eliminating Leviathan with 2-0, the wildcard US representative Archon faced NoT.Today, the confrontation between them being not a smooth one and at the end of three games played out of three possible, Archon barely made it, advancing further in the competition with a 2-1 score.
The third round in which the two finalist will be decided is about to start today with Complexity facing Summer's Rift at 23:00 CET while the Archon vs Root is scheduled for July 18th at 02:00 CET. BTS Americas will conclude on July 19th with a best of five grand finals.
