Phase one of the NA qualifiers for The Summit 3 has concluded with Boreal and Void Boy advancing, eliminating paiN and Team Tinker respectively.

Looking at the results of phase one, it can be concluded that the teams consisting of veteran players in the NA region are not doing too well. Team Tinker, Monib Baray and Summoners' Rift, teams with multiple veteran players, were eliminated by teams who are widely considered to consist of relatively lesser known players such as Void Boy and Boreal Esports.

The matches of the finals were relatively close, both of them finishing 2-1. In one of the two matches, Team Tinker were bested by Void Boy, yet another disappointing result to add to their already long list of bad results. PatSoul, who has been playing simultaneously for both Void Boy and Team Tinker, officially left Tinker to play with Void Boy just prior to the qualifiers. As for the other match, Boreal defeated paiN Gaming with Boreal showing yet another solid performance, they will most likely be going into phase two of the qualifiers with slightly more confidence than before.

With the conclusion of phase one of the NA qualifiers, the brackets for phase two has been drawn. The second phase will start on the 29th of March.
