TechLabs Cup qualifiers kick-off today, eight teams compete for two LAN spots

The opening day for TechLabs Cup 2014 has arrived, with the beginning of the online qualifiers. Eight competitors will be fighting this week for the two spots in the LAN finals of April 5th.
The Russian organization TechLabs recently announced yet another season of their tournament, TechLabs Cup, ending with a major LAN event in Moscow featuring several games. For Dota2, the offline cup will have a double-elimination format, with four teams competing for the $20,000 prize pool on April 5th.
The first two spots of the offline phase of the tournament were covered by the invited squads Empire and RoX.KIS, both Russian. The two remaining competitors will be decided this week through the online qualifiers, starting on Monday 24th. The day begins with Aware facing Relax at 15:00 CET, while three more games will be held at 19:00 CET between Virtus.Pro and Ahead, Next.KZ and TR, Power Rangers and Insane.

The team that emerges victorious from the Winners Bracket finals will secure a spot in the play-offs. The squads unable to snatch a win in the Winners Bracket will have to survive the Lowers Bracket matches in order to qualify for the finals. In the end, one more team will grab the fourth and final ticket to the offline playoffs.
