The curtains have fallen for the group stage of the second season of Dota2 Champions' League. Na'Vi and Team Empire automatically qualify for the semi-finals, while the second and third placers will fight for their spot.

We are slowly approaching the end of the second season of Dota 2 Champions' League, with the ten participants of the group stage having played their games and earned their final spots in their respective groups. In the end, it's Empire, Alliance and Fnatic that stay in the tournament from Group A, and Na'Vi, Virtus.Pro and Cloud9 that qualify from Group B.

The performance of Team Empire was the most impressive by far, with only one loss in nine games in their group. Alliance are right behind them with seven wins in ten games, while Fnatic go through with five wins in nine games. RoX.KIS put up quite a fight but could beat Fnatic in the battle for the third place, while Sigma completely failed to stand out with zero wins total.

For the other group of the tournament, it was Na'Vi that finished first, with eight wins in twelve games. The clash for the second and third place was fierce, with Virtus.Pro, Cloud9 and Team Liquid challenging each other until the last minute. In the end, Virtus.Pro and Cloud9 both managed to collect the six points they needed to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs.

With Na'Vi and Empire topping their respective groups, they have managed to secure themselves a spot in Round 2 of D2CL playoffs. For the two remaining spots in Round 2, Alliance will have to face Virtus.Pro, and Fnatic will take on Cloud9.
