DT with yet another upset, eliminates LGD from Sina Cup

After strong wins against Titan and iG, DT kept their hot streak alive as they defeated and eliminated LGD on the lower bracket semifinals of the Sina Cup.
Dream Time followed a line-up on which they had seen success earlier on the day: a middle lane Razer, a support Alchemist and a strong late game carry - this time in the form of Spectre. LGD, went with a line-up we are getting familiar seeing them with, which is a strong push and team-fight lineup with a Quas-Wex Invoker and Lycan core.
DT is resolute on stalling LGD's early game, blocking LGD's neutral spawns across two sets of sentry wards. LGD was able to deward two of them immediately, but DT was able to pounce on the early lead by securing a first blood for their Spectre on the first minute. The teams traded offlane kills, with Dark Seer dying on minute 4 and Doom dying again on minute 6, but LGD also took the bottom tier-1 tower.
Barring a slight lead by LGD due to its jungle, it was a virtual tie on the graphs by the 10th minute. That means the game is favoring the late game line-up of DT, who has Spectre literally on free farm all throughout this point. Realizing their timing window, LGD started to make their move. After winning a 3-2 hero trade on the 12th minute, they engaged on a tower swap two minutes later. LGD showed poise by defending on their middle tower after that, taking one hero and DT's mid tier-2 on the process. The top tier-2 fell not long after.
Spectre is getting farmed up, completing her Radiance to go with Vanguard and Phase boots at the 20-minute mark. DT was able to pick-off Invoker a few minutes later, but LGD bounced right back by taking Roshan. LGD had another go at the bottom lane, with a blink initiation by doom way past DT's lone tier-2 tower. It was a small victory for them, having a 2-2 trade but forcing two DT buybacks at it. Two minutes later, LGD finally destroyed DT's bottom tier-2 tower
A brief look on the graphs on the 27th mark shows what has been keeping DT in the game. Despite a strong pushing lineup by LGD, DT was able to keep ahead on the levels. DT's farm is also top heavy, with Spectre being the top farmer and the next three being from the LGD side.
DT picked off Invoker yet again, en route to taking LGD's bottom tier-2 tower. The next big fight happened on that area around five-minutes after, wherein DT was ahead on a 3-2 trade but LGD had a minor victory by killing Spectre. However, at this point, it is beginning to feel that LGD's window has already passed.
LGD had a much needed pickoff on Spectre just three minutes after. DT took Roshan on that period, and had somehow successfully defended the middle-lane uphill push by LGD without their Spectre. DT picked off Enchantress for a couple of times, with the third time leading to DT taking the last tier-2 tower of the game.
DT pulled off a humongous team-fight win right before the 50-minute mark, aided by a vision of the LGD team from a well-placed observer ward. Four heroes died on the side of LGD, on which two bought back instantly to be able to defend Roshan. DT curiously did not take Roshan, but instead baited LGD to go at it. DT won that trade, 2-1. Lycan purchase a Rapier after that team fight.
A quick look on the graph another 27-minutes later show how the game has turned around. After a short period of farming on both side, LGD took a last ditch effort as they went for a pick off. With multiple buybacks and a very farmed Spectre though, DT was able to wipe the opposition to complete their upset.
DT advanced into this match after pulling an upset against iG, while LGD reached this round after taking CIS to school on a heavily one-sided match. The Sina Cup will resume tomorrow with the upper bracket finals match-up of DK and Vici Gaming, wherein the winner will secure at least a second place finish.
