With both Vici Gaming and Titan still win-less in group A of G-League, their next clash at 13:00 CET today will decide who gets to go through to the next stage of the tournament. The winner of the upcoming group A match will finish as the third seed in pre-playoffs and start on the loser bracket of the double elimination bracket.
Coming into the tournament fresh off their win in EMS One Fall, Vici Gaming was the heavy favourite to sweep the group stage. Vici Gaming faced DK on Saturday and despite coming back strong in game two to equalize the series at 1-1, VG was unable take on DK's Dragon Knight, Timbersaw and Clinkz trio going into late game. VG disappointed their fans even further yesterday after they took a serious beating from Speed and lost the match in which they were the 60% favourite to win.
The same can be said about Titan and their journey in G-League so far. Titan is the massive underdogs in this tournament and together with Galvin 'Meracle' Kang, their newest addition to the team, the Malaysian based team has surprised thousands after Kang solo split push his way to a win from a 10,000 gold deficit against DK. They were on the brink of winning DK in game three as well but that was until the Necronomicons started popping up on DK's side. In their match against Speed, Speed underestimated the ability of Kang's Naga in game two and paid for it. Tied at 1-1, Speed could not afford to let Kang's Naga go rampant again and first banned it. Speed won the series leaving Titan 0-2 in the group.
literally the most frustrating game I've played in my life, what a fucking asshole naga
