HitBox.tv is retuning with their $1,000 best-of-five king of the hill showmatch. Feature on the second installment is the winner of the pilot series Cloud9 (then known as Speed Gaming), who will go up against Team Liquid.

The two teams will be facing each other on a best-of-five showmatch, which will see the winner awarded by $1,000. Being a King of the Hill tournament, the winner is also expected to take part on the next installment of the Bounty Hunter Series. The match is scheduled this 28 February at 19:00 CET.

C9 and Liqud are 2-2 on their last four matches, with C9 getting a 2-1 win on the Dota 2 Champions's League and Liquid claiming a 1-0 victory on their T.K.O. match-up.

The team managers from both sides also provided some friendly smack talk for each other.

Statement from Robin Nymann, TeamLiquid's team manager

“The last few times we´ve played against our brother HyperX team, Cloud9, it´s been some incredibly tense games. One of the most fearsome opponents in the scene, but that won´t stop us from claiming the throne in the BountyHunter Series.“

Statement from Charlie Yang,Cloud9's team manager

“We’re excited to defend our bounty against Team Liquid this week. They’re always a strong team and we’ll be sure to provide exciting matches. We look forward to the Bo5 and drinking Bulba’s tears.”

The games will be cast via HitBox.tv across at least six different languages, with BeyondTheSummit handling the english cast.

Cloud 9 became the King of the Hill after defeating Fnatic last 8 February with the score of 3-0. They won a similar $1,000 for that victory.
