The eleventh EiZO Cup starts tonight, with the final being played on Sunday. Participating teams are veterans Empire and Speed as well as new squads, namely SADBOYS and Wagamama's Vhoul Assassins.

The regular tournaments emerge and add matches to a, so far, empty 2014. The first EiZO Cup of the year will go live today; it's the eleventh edition in total and will, as usual, deliver a prize pool of €1,750 split between the two top teams. Similar to prior cups, the 16 participating teams are partially invited and partially qualified; eight of each. The EiZO veterans of this edition are Team Empire and Speed Gaming, the latter reached five EiZO Cup finals in 2013 and won three of them. The two finalists of last cup (RoX.KiS and Virtus.pro) will not be joining the bracket this time around.

Another team to look out for is the newly formed SADBOYS, in which Evil Geniuses members Fear and Universe are currently playing alongside Peterpandam, Zai and Arteezy. They are also participating in the American divisions of both joinDota League as well as MLG T.K.O. Even though they have not had many shots at showing what they can do, due to the nature of those tournaments there will be plenty of chances for that in the coming weeks. What is going on with the actual Dota 2 squad of Evil Geniuses is yet to be released.

Wagamama is also partaking with his team Vhoul Assassins, bringing Durum and BlueBanana from the recent QPANDAS roster. Joining them is rmN and Vilik. They successfully went through the qualifier rounds, reaching the main bracket.

The schedule is slightly changed compared to prior cups where the first two rounds have been played on the first day while the second day contained semi finals and the final. This time around the top half of the bracket (including semi finals) will be played today and the bottom half tomorrow. The best-of-three final is set for a yet-to-be-decided time on Sunday.
