Reso1ution: 'Nothing holds us together except friendship'

Before being dropped, iCCup's Dota 2 squad is considered as one of the West's rising teams, with a runner-up finish on the sixth season of Starladder Starseries under their résumé. They have showed enough promise that they were merited an invite on The International 3's Western qualifier, where they unfortunately did not make it past the group stage.
WePlay.tv caught up with the middle-lane player of that group, Roman 'Reso1ution' Fominok. The short interview was about his thoughts on the recently finished The International 3 and iCCup's decision to drop his team, as well as his plans for the future. The following is the translation of the interview.
Hi Roma! How are you?
Good day, sir. I am fine, thank you.
The International 3, the biggest E-Sports tournament of the year, ended just a week ago. Who have you been rooting for?
I have been supporting Alliance. I think that they really deserved that win. The guys have been training a lot and, as a result, they became the best team in the world
There are a lot of thoughts about the last game of the Grand finals: some people say that Alliance are too strong, some think that Na`Vi gave the victory to the Swedes. What’s your opinion on this case?
Dendi lost $800,000.
Virtus.Pro and MUFC, the teams that were invited directly, didn’t show a good performance on that tournament. Do you think that Valve should change the way they invite the teams to the tournament?
No, I don’t think so. If they invite the teams later, organizations might have problems with getting documents in time. In my opinion, when Valve invited the teams in 2013, there were no better teams, that’s why VP and MUFC were chosen.
Many teams changed their rosters after TI3 as expected. For example, VP was left with just two players. Also, the situation with Na`Vi is not clear yet. Weren’t you contacted by VP, Na`Vi, Empire or other organizations with the invitation to their teams?
No, there was nothing like that. But I would like to try something new.
iCCup stopped sponsoring your team a few days ago. Do you know the reason behind it?
I don’t know. Our manager just called and said that iCCup released the Dota 2 squad.
What are yours and your team’s plans for the future?
I am going to travel, and they will participate in Eizo CUP with the stand-in. Everything will be clearer when I come back.
Aren’t you afraid that your teammates might join other teams while you are absent?
At the moment, nothing holds us together except friendship. So if they leave, I won’t hold grudge on them.
Have you heard about Ahead Gaming tournament, where the winner would get sponsored by that organization? If yes, will you participate?
Yes, I know about it. But I won’t be able to play at the first day at least.
What is the secret of success in Dota 2 for you?
It is very simple. You have to find four people who know what they gather for and do everything to be the best.
Many professional players think that you have to mix young talents with experienced players to be a successful team. What is your opinion on this matter?
It is really what is needed. But that only is not enough.
People think that you are one of the best mid players in the Europe. What hero is the strongest for that role and what hero can you put against it?
Outworld Devourer is the strongest one. The good heroes to lane against him are Razor and Lone Druid.
Would you participate in a 1v1 tournament between the best Europe players if someone decides to organize it?
I have never been strong in 1v1, this is like the different game. But yes, I would play if I get invited.
Can we expect to see any streams from you in the nearest future?
Probably yes, if I can solve my problems with living place.
