In Valve's latest post titled "Wish You Were Here", Valve released the schedule for The International 3 main event as well as the groupstage schedule, four days prior to the tournament.
The groupstage will run from the 3rd of August till the 5th of August. The players will have an one day break before the main event begins. The distribution and the format of the groupstage is not known but judging from the schedule, one could expect it to be similar to The International 2, where the 16 teams where split into two groups. Teams played the same team twice, there were four matches going on at the same time and each round lasted for approximately two hours.
