After a few weeks of inactivity, Dread has decided to leave the competitive scene due to lack of motivation. He will still be streaming on a regular basis and join his friend Solo in shoutcasting.

Long time Russian player Andrey 'Dread' Golubev has announced his retirement from the competitive scene after going inactive late last month.

According to Dread's statement (below), the main reason for his retirement from the competitive scene is due to lack of motivation, the same reason he gave for going inactive last month.

Statement by PODOX, RoX.KIS manager:

It is a pity to part ways with a player such as Dread. Andrei has shown to be a real fighter *(or competitor, whatever you want to use)* inside the game and as a great person in real life. I hope that in the future he will achieve the goals he has set before himself at this point in time. The team and I wish him luck!

Statement by Dread:

It's been a pleasure to play with this group of people, but at this moment I just don’t have the motivation to professionally play Dota. Perhaps, in the future I will return with renewed strength.

With his retirement, RoX.KIS will be scrambling to find a fifth player to replace Dread. RoX.KIS is still participating in a variety of online tournaments, playing with a number of stand-ins such as Nexus, zxc, AndroidP and jrb.

According to goodgame.ru, Dread will still be streaming his pub adventures and will be joining his good friend Alexey 'Solo' Berezin, former RoX.KIS player kicked for betting fraud, in shoutcasting. His channel is available on Twitch.

RoX.KIS team roster:

Stanislav 'BzzIsPerfect' Glushan
Ivan 'VANSKOR' Skorokhod
Vladimir 'yol' Basov
Maxim 'TpoH' Vernikov
