
The AMD Premier League Season 2 starts on the 17th of July, 14:00 CEST featuring 16 teams from the South East Asian and the Chinese Scene fighting for a total prize pool of $5000.
Season two of the AMD Premier League premiers later this week, featuring eight invited teams from the South East Asian scene and the Chinese scene and eight other teams who won the qualifiers. The tournament will run for six days with the 16 teams fighting the prize of $3,000 at first place. The team who placed second will win $1500 while the team who placed third will take home $500. The AMD Premier League is run on a best of one format during the first round while the subsequent rounds, including the Grand Finals, are run on a best of three format.
The first two games, which are taking place simultaneously, will start on the 17th of July, 14:00 CEST with Orange playing against 1ST VN while Muxi Esports face off against Mineski. The two games are then followed by Rattlesnake playing against Gizmo Gaming and Rising Stars facing off Netolic.SG on 16:00 CEST. The games of the other eight teams will take place tomorrow on the 18th of July, 14:00 CEST.
Alongside the eight invitees, FXOpen, fresh off their win from the Nexon Starter League, has also qualified for the tournament. In addition, Esports-Muxi are looking to prove their worth and live up to their expectations in the AMD Premier League with their start player Papaxiong and 8GK after an anti-climatic performance in Redbull ECL.
