After weeks of waiting, European Elite DotA League opens and promises the highest-leveled games
As the top players gather worldwide for skilled games, EEDL bursts into official release this week, about 5 days from the original estimated date. The European Elite DotA League expects about 200 vouchees, as all of the top skilled invited players promised to participate, ranging from Europe's best to Asia's most skilled.
Expected to have about 20 games per day, with the comfort of a 5gbps hostbot, so players won't have to worry about lousy connection, EEDL promises high-leveled confrontations and breathtaking matches.
GosuGamers managed to get some statements from some of the EEDL admins:
Djole "Devil":
-"Well we attend to have best and most famous world players. We made about 170 vouchees to start season with. Probably some more players will be added to the safelist in near future when league starts.
We have a very good IRC bot, with many functions (more than pride bot tbh). We have pretty same season prizes as in ihe for top 1-2-3 players prizes are 400-300-200 $, and, of course, most active player (with most games played) will recieve his deserved 100$.
We hope everyone will enjoy playing in our community. I think european players will also be very happy to play with asian players, whom they will be able to meet here."
André "PowerXL" Fialkowski:
-"Well, first thanks for the opportunity to participate in this great project along with Devil, Elune and Tekniqz. I think "Devil" explained all about EEDL, so I can talk about the hostbot system. We can host 10 games at the same time, our server connection is around 5 gbps and we are working to improve our hostbot system. Our League bot was made by Vizakenjack ( say-plz bot coder) our bot has already exceeded all seen, this bot has a very good backup system so we never lose our drafts database. About our sponsors, thanks to GiGa NET CAFE and all the other sponsors!"
In short, the league intends to maintain a low-numbered vouchlist, as only top players are meant to play there. High-skilled players alongside a high-speed hostbot assures possibly the best games to yet be played, not to mention the season's top player prize-money.
