With the group finals of Pro Dota Challenge just around the corner, GosuGamers take a quick look at the group stages and give an update on what has been going down the past few weeks.
Starting off with 32 team in 8 groups, the tournament has finally come down to the last 16 teams to determine which 8 teams will make it to the playoffs.
There were a few upsets in the group stage, where established teams were defeated by unknown ones. SGC, a well known team, who recently defeated The Retry, was knocked out from the competition by a fairly unknown Russian crew, tp. Likewise for Tribal.Int, the team that once housed players like Lacoste_ and Playmate really suffered from their departure as they lost to ry6bI, another rather anonymous Russian group.
Groups F, G and H bring with them familiar powerhouses like Ducky's Dream Team, The Shit! and Meet Your Makers.
