Mushi:"...this is probably due to me starting to lose interest in DotA."
Cybertime's captain, Mushi talks about his hiatus from competitive DotA and his lack of interest in DotA. "I think it's because DotA to me is not very important right now. " says Mushi when asked why he is losing faith in competitive DotA.
SGamer interviews the captain of Cybertime, Mushi, where he shares his thoughts regarding competitive gaming, why he did not join ChuaN to build AEON.my and his diminishing interest in DotA. Read the translated interview below:
Hello Mushi. Its been a long time since I've seen you. As usual, introduce yourself.
-Hello everyone. I'm Mushi. I believe I do not need to introduce myself too much. Haha.
A lot of fans are concerned about you. Tell us your situation right now.
-I've been training less with my teammates lately. I've just been playing with friends for fun, this is probably due to me starting to lose interest in DotA.
So does this mean that you are considering retirement? Is there any roster changes after ChuaN left?
-i haven't made a decision yet, perhaps because we think it's ok now. Recently i just won a minor tournament in Singapore with some of my friends, though the prize money was small, we were rather happy playing together. As for my team, I'm not going to think too much about it for now. Haha.
With the help of eryc, ChuaN has formed AEON.my. Why dint you follow him to his new team?
-Because me and Net both had contracts with Cybertime, that is why we will both be staying with Cybertime for a while. As to what the future holds, that is still all a mystery.
What are your thoughts regarding the new 6.66 map of DotA?
-I haven't played it yet. Haha. So I have no thoughts about it.
So your still caught up in the excitement of playing Ursa Warrior in 6.65?
-I never use the heroes that I normally play in competitive games during public games. I'll choose some more interesting heroes to play.
For example what heroees? What items do you get for them?
-Keeper of the Light with a Dagon and Force Staff. Sometimes I'll even let my teammates die.
You are so evil, letting your teammates die. Where do you normally play? DotA pride just opened an Asian division a while ago and Cybertime was invited to join. What do you think about this Asian In House League?
-I'm just messing around during pubs. I usually play in Singapore DotA room 5. I have no intentions playing in any online competitions for now.
The Malaysian DotA scene is currently in a state of calmness, what do you think of the Malaysian DotA scene?
-I've been playing less lately. There aren't any competitions going on in Malaysian right now, so a lot of teams are training less. It'll probably be better once Chinese New year is over.
Why are you losing faith in playing Dota on a professional level?
-I think it's because DotA to me is not very important right now. There are some things more important than DotA. As to whether I will continue playing or not. That is still unknown.
Finally, anything that you would want to tell your friends? Any confessions you'd like to make?
-Thanks to my fans for always supporting me. I hope that I will have the chance to give some interesting replays to the community. I would also like to thank a special someone who have been supporting me silently all this time.
Don't you know there's always a confession when being interviewed by SGamer? Tell us the name and be a man.
-Can I not? All you need to know it is not a guy. Do not think I am gay. Haha.
