After less than two months the first 5on5 DotA-Tournament of E-Challenge is finished!
E-Challenge.ch, a site known for a lot of CS 1.6 tournaments and a lot of small and big tours in Swiss and Germany recently finished their first DotA 5on5 Tournament, even with a small prizepool compared to tournaments and leagues like MYM PDL and DBL/ENADC the signup got filled pretty fast and when the tour started, we have been happy to have over 60 teams from 15 countries in the brackets, featuring names like Mousesports, XsK, SK-DotA, mymF, eXcello, w4sp, redSkyand many more.
Overall the teams played their games in the schedule and so the tournament went smooth and without big delay untill the Grand Final between Mouz and XsK, over 400 people tuned in at GGTV to watch the final games and after a long fight Mouz managed to win the tournament and will take home the 5 QPads.
Even though the QPads arent the biggest prize ever seen in a DotA tournament, still this win ment a lot to the still very young team Mouz, which has been in the news quite a lot, so we caught up with their leader for a small statement:
Kim 'Drayich' Larsson:
"When we lost the games in Pride 9 we were in horrible condition, both skillwise and spiritwise. We didnt have fun and we didnt create anything good, i decided to take over the team at that point when Kog left and we have worked alot on both the spirit and the individual skill during this time. Finally we get something for our efford and it feels like we are a strong team now, strong and hungry for wins"
Because of the big popularity of DotA nowadays, E-Challenge.ch decided to host the next 5on5 Tournament very soon, this time with more prizes, more teams and a bigger coverage!
