Prime Defending #9 entered the last 16 phase, they will compete in a double elimination format, unlike the last four phases. Few well known teams did not make it this far, others are making names for themselves.

Playoffs preliminaries have passed by, unfortunately taking some well known names with them, which on the other hand will bring more teams, not that famous, to the eyes of wider publicity. That also means the DotA scene is getting more competitive, excluding maybe Makers and Virtus, as they seem to be able to take on anyone on every given day, and will probably meet in finals yet again. Double elimination from start means a lot more games which will probably grant us a much more interesting playoff.
