Ever since their formation, shift have established themselves as one of the top ganking teams around, with special mention to miGGel and Angel; a path they have stayed true to this entire tournament.
During the laning phase, it is clear to see that they like to surprise their opponent with either a dual roaming strategy, or a tri-lane mid. They manage to get these unorthodox strategies working due to them having lane control heroes with either an escape mechanism or pseudo-escape mechanism (relating to Clockwerk Goblin, who can stand far away from the lane and farm) on the other lanes, meaning that they only need to worry about a single lane.
Analytically speaking, this is their weakest phase; however, if the opposite team are not prepared to face the unorthodox laning, shift will have the edge here.
Going into the mid game, we can clearly see they put a lot of focus here with emphasis on the text book ganking strategies through heavy map control and high mobility. It is very clear that it is in this particular phase they either win or lose their games.
Although they have a clear mid-game focus, they can however still go into the late game phase with some confidence, depending on how well they have executed their ganking strategy in the mid game. However, due to their main focus lying in the mid game, they only have one carry at this stage, a disadvantage that they try to decrease by having a damage amplifying hero along with them. This however also means that they lack in the late game team fight powers, only dedicating one hero to this aspect of the game.

Originally formed in 2010, SGC has an impressive record, with their most notable achievements being placing 5th/6th in Intel Challenge: SuperCup (2011) and 1st in the Balkan DotA League #3 (2011).
Despite these achievements and their victory over Na`Vi in this tournament, they have somehow managed to stay below the public radar, which means we simply do not know much about these Slovakians, a fact that will drastically decrease the material for any analysis.
Going into the analysis anyway, starting with the laning phase, it is not difficult to see they prefer to base this on a nuking tri-lane. It is, however, intriguing that they prefer an unconventional tri-lane based on heroes with hard-to-land AOE stuns; a strategy that can grant them a huge advantage if executed to perfection.
The mid game is mostly geared towards a ganking into pushing line up, although they still have the ability to go for a direct pushing strategy due to having at least one anti-tower hero. It is notable too that that they also seem to have a tendency towards a tanky line up.
Late game they are however greatly hampered, relying on either their team-fight potential or hard individual nuking power to support their main carry (or in case of the first game, two semi-carries).

Shift versus SGC is in theory a pretty balanced match-up; both teams got great potential, but have been showing some inconsistency in their results.
Taking a look at this particular tournament, we can see that Shift beat M5 and SGC beat Na`Vi, so both have won versus a highly ranked team. Despite of this we predict bets will be heavier on the shift side though, maybe 60-40, even though we would say SGC is stronger than that. The ban/picks will be crucial.

MYM are the most recognizable name in DotA and by far the longest established. You would think they would have run out of steam at some point, yet they are still at the top of the scene, and are mostly recognized for their amazing split pushing strategies.
Taking a look at their early games, we can see they favor either a tri-lane or semi tri-lane with a sub-par anti-tri-lane hero laning opposite which means that analytically speaking, this is by far their weakest phase. This problem is even further enhanced by the fact that their lanes are mostly static, meaning that they have no flexibility to work with if they were to be out laned.
As MYM enter the mid game phase, we can clearly see the purpose of their picks. Here you should make a note of the lack of map control heroes, yet their consistency in mid game push heroes, meaning that we will most likely see either a team-fight or a large skirmish happen prior to any pushes.
Although still having some late game potential, this phase is definitely weaker than the mid game, which will result in a greater reliance on the team-fight defining heroes (most notably Earthshaker).

GGnet; probably the most late game oriented team left in this tournament. They are most known for their daring tactics, and in this tournament they have had a tendency to pick team-fight controlling as well as jungling heroes.
During the laning phase, they prefer a semi tri-lane with a hard-to-kill long lane and mid game dominating mid lane; a line up most efficient if they manage to go trilane versus sololane.
The mid game is mostly dominated by team fight controlling heroes with the opportunity to have the main carry farming in the meantime, meaning that they will most likely play a passive role here. They can, however, also transition into a three man based ganking team, designed to shut down the opponents carries if the need arises.
Late game; this is the time for GGnet to shine. Although they do have mid game focused heroes, it is in the late game that GGnet find they have the greatest advantage and, if it comes to this, they are sure to have the edge. The late game focuses on one carry with a semi-carry not far behind, and two team fight controlling heroes. It should be noted that they are very much susceptible to ganks in this phase though.

MYM vs GGnet will most likely float around 50-50, since it's the top of Europe clashing; a fact that has been proven a lot in the past where the the outcome of an individual game can end either way.
Analytically speaking, both teams have lots of experience and equal amount of skill, and it should definitely be a treat to watch this game. When this is said, we do have believe that the bets might end up slightly more GGnet's favor because of recent games.
